Celebrating National Tourism Week

Celebrating National Tourism Week 2025
 “Tourism is Everybody’s Business”

From May 4th to 10th, 2025, the American Samoa Visitors Bureau (ASVB) celebrated National Tourism Week under the theme “Tourism is Everybody’s Business.” The week served as a valuable opportunity to recognize the many individuals and sectors that contribute to shaping the visitor experience in the territory.

Throughout the week, ASVB highlighted various areas of the tourism industry—from hospitality and transport to culture and community-based tourism—as well as key development projects supported by the Bureau. These spotlights aimed to showcase the collective effort that makes American Samoa a welcoming and unique destination.

National Tourism Week also served as a moment to thank our industry partners and service providers whose dedication continues to elevate tourism in the territory. Their hard work is essential in ensuring visitors have an unforgettable experience while exploring the natural beauty, culture, and spirit of American Samoa.

Looking ahead, a series of tourism trainings will follow, beginning with the Tourism Transport Training, focused on equipping bus and taxi drivers with the tools and knowledge to serve visitors with excellence. These trainings emphasize that everyone has a role to play in building a stronger, more sustainable tourism industry.

Tourism touches every part of our community—and this week reminded us that when tourism thrives, so does American Samoa.
