American Samoa Showcases Cruise Potential at Seatrade Cruise Global 2025
The territory of American Samoa was present at the 2025 Seatrade Cruise Global Expo —recognized as the world’s premier cruise industry event. This year’s expo was held April 7th to 11th, and welcomed over 11,500 attendees, 600+ exhibitors, 75+ cruise line brands, and representatives from 128 countries, making it the largest gathering of global cruise professionals.
As a proud member of the South Pacific Cruise Alliance (SPCA), ASVB joined regional partners including Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Pitcairn Island, Wallis & Futuna, New Caledonia, and the South Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO) to showcase the authentic South Pacific cruise experience. Together, the SPCA booth served as a vibrant hub for destination marketing and strategic planning with key cruise industry leaders.
The week kicked off with the SPCA briefing meeting and the official opening of the regional booth. ASVB held targeted meetings with cruise media partners, itinerary planners, and representatives from major cruise lines including Holland America Line, Windstar Cruises, Azamara, Seabourn, and Princess Cruises. Discussions focused on expanding cruise itineraries through 2027 and 2028, as well as opportunities to enhance the guest experience in American Samoa.
Seatrade Cruise Global is a crucial event where cruise lines finalize their future ports of call. Attending this forum ensures American Samoa stays visible and competitive in the global cruise market. Since the reopening of borders, the territory has seen a steady increase in cruise ship arrivals—a testament to the importance of ASVB’s ongoing participation in this global platform.
